A journey through my vision of Black and Grey tattooing

My name is Ivano Natale

I started tattooing in 2005. I’m originally from Naples, Italy but I grew up around the world and I was exposed to a multicultural environment since I was a kid.

FAQ

  • You must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo from me. You will need to present a valid ID, such as a state-issued identification card or a passport.

  • You don’t need to bring your own design. Feel free to relax—I love creating custom designs and can draw up a tattoo based on your ideas and preferences. Of course, any reference images you bring will help me better understand your vision and the direction you want to go.

  • I accept cash, credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, bank transfer, Crypto, Zelle, PayPal, instalment payment plan (tha payment must be completed within one week of your appointment)

  • Due to a very busy schedule and a long waiting list, I’m unable to accept walk-ins. Appointments are highly recommended, as cancellations are rare. I’ll be happy to work with you to find the soonest available time, ensuring that we can dedicate the right attention to your project.

  • To book an appointment, you can either come directly to the studio to discuss your ideas with me or contact me via email or phone to talk about the tattoo and find a suitable date. I require a minimum deposit of $500 to confirm your appointment, which will be deducted from the total cost of the tattoo. All deposits are non-refundable. Remember, without a deposit, you do not have an appointment.

The first two hours of touch-ups are always free. If additional time is needed, we’ll discuss an hourly rate. However, each touch-up is evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get the best outcome for your tattoo.

  • Consultations are always free. I recommend calling or emailing me to set up a time in advance so that I can give you my full attention. Consultations typically last between 5 and 15 minutes to discuss your idea and set up an appointment. Sometimes, if the idea is clear enough, we can do the consultation via email as well.

  • It's important to be well-rested on the day of your tattoo. A good night's sleep will help make the experience more manageable. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption the night before. Eat a hearty meal before your appointment; getting a tattoo on an empty stomach is not a good idea as you need energy to keep your blood sugar levels stable. Wear comfortable clothing, and feel free to bring a book or headphones to relax during the session.

  • Of course! You’re welcome to bring one person with you to your tattoo session. However, if you’re planning to bring others, please note that families and children aren’t allowed in the tattooing area for safety reasons. Children, in particular, may only stay in the waiting room and must be supervised by an adult, so it’s best not to bring them.

  • Yes, there are some tattoos I do not do. I won't do gang-related tattoos or any hateful, offensive or racial imagery. Tattoos on hands, neck, and face are at my discretion—if you're already heavily tattooed and your career or lifestyle won't be affected, I might agree to do them. However, if you're 18 and want your first tattoo on your forehead, my answer will almost certainly be no.

  • Don’t worry about aftercare—at the end of the session, I’ll provide you with all the guidelines you need to take the best possible care of your tattoo.

  • Does getting a tattoo hurt? There are certain areas of the body that are objectively more sensitive than others, but pain tolerance is entirely personal and varies from person to person. So, try not to be influenced by others’ experiences and focus on enjoying your own.
